The leak inside the venue was contained.

Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan is playing host to Friday Night SmackDown on January 20th. One day prior to the show, the building had to be evacuated due to an ammonia leak, per The Detroit News

The incident took place in the venue’s basement. Among those on the scene were firefighters, a Hazmat specialist and medics. There were two men who were near the leak that suffered chemical burns according to James Harris, the Detroit Fire Department Chief of Community Relations and Public Information Officer.

Both men were transported to a hospital and treated for minor injuries. Harris gave the following statement to the press:

The leak was contained by us. Little Caesars Arena did their due diligence. They went into action, and the situation will be mitigated shortly.

On the bill for the 1/20 SmackDown is Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns signing a contract to make their Undisputed WWE Universal Title match at the Royal Rumble official. The SmackDown Tag Title tournament will kick off as well.
