AEW Collision, a new in-ring show, will debut on Saturday, June 17th on TNT.

The weekly two-hour show was confirmed at WBD’s 2023 upfronts presentation in New York City on Wednesday morning.

AEW Collision, which will air at 8pm ET, was billed to feature talent including Miro, Samoa Joe, Thunder Rosa, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Andrade El Idolo.

No mention has yet been made of CM Punk.

Tony Khan, AEW’s CEO, noted that the show would be broadcast live. He said:

With the addition of ‘AEW: Collision’ on TNT, I’m extremely proud that a Turner network will be the home of Saturday night wrestling for the first time in more than two decades.  The debut of ‘Collision’ is significant across numerous sectors including television, wrestling, entertainment and sports, and reinforces AEW as the bold property we envisioned when we launched in 2019.  ‘Collision’ will deliver live every Saturday night more of what fans and viewers tell us they want – athleticism, big personalities, exciting storylines and hard-hitting wrestling action, all of which have become synonymous with AEW.

Personally excited for this announcement and further extension of the WBD relationship (which at the absolute minimum likely puts AEW’s TV deals at over $120M a year - likely much higher).

Hopefully this will be available as part of AEW+ on Fite for now.

Expecting a video game release announcement soon as well. Lots of exciting stuff ahead for AEW.

I’m glad they’re focusing on the names we haven’t seen recently (while holding back on THE name). Very Nitro-esque look to the poster. Aside from the time slot, I’m excited and hopeful for this being a significant show.

I saw Brandon Thurston share original and edited versions of the WBD press release that mention and then omit CM Punk’s name.

Yeah I’m excited for this. I’m already behind on Dynamite but I’ll make the effort to watch both

On a business level, awesome to hear AEW get another tv show. On a fan level, the last thing I want is more wrestling to watch. It is what it is, these companies are what they are because of TV deals, and when in 2023 when it comes to AEW and WWE, they both live and die by “more is more”.

It’s a wait and see for me. I will definitely give it a chance but have a feeling this could end up like Rampage.

Man… Punk just won’t ever change.
