Notes from Tony Khan, Bryan Danielson and Kris Statlander.

Following AEW’s 2023 Double or Nothing pay-per-view, members of the media presented questions to Tony Khan and talents who were present for the scrum.

During Tony Khan’s session, he confirmed that AEW is receiving additional licensing fees for adding Collision as a weekly show. It was also confirmed that Dark and Dark: Elevation is no longer in operation. As of the media scrum, roughly 65,000 tickets have been sold for All In at Wembley Stadium and there is over $8 million in revenue. Khan stated that he always believed they could get 50-60,000 tickets sold for the event.

Khan revealed that he’s spoken to New Japan Pro-Wrestling about Jushin Thunder Liger coming to Canada for the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Khan shared that he’s spoken to Bill Goldberg as well since he became a free agent. He was asked about potentially adding more to Double or Nothing week and joked that a partnership with UFC is off the table, referring to their merger with WWE

Bryan Danielson appeared at the scrum and first weighed in on U.K. wrestling promoter Brian Dixon’s passing. He stated that Dixon gave him a big break. On the topic of helping Tony Khan with creative, Danielson stated that he loves working with Tony. Before he got to AEW, they would talk on the phone for hours.

In passing, Bryan confirmed there was a talent meeting recently about social media. He went on to address Nigel McGuinness and does not think Nigel has the same intensity to have a match with him. He does not think McGuinness can match up present day.

Newly crowned TBS Champion Kris Statlander shared that there was a point when she felt she did not deserve moments like she got at Double or Nothing because she has not been around due to injuries. Statlander is open to giving Jade Cargill her rematch immediately or down the line.

Initially, it was thought that Kris had a torn ACL and meniscus but her meniscus was not torn. Two days after ACL surgery, Kris was walking without crutches.
