AEW Dynamite & All Access viewership figures, strong Canadian number

AEW Dynamite dropped in viewership on Wednesday, although it maintained its fourth-place ranking on cable for Wednesday night.

The March 29th episode from St. Louis averaged 833,000 viewers and approximately 365,000 (0.28) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

AEW’s viewership fell by 13 percent this week while the 18-49 audience was down by 16 percent as the show ranked fourth among cable originals airing against the NBA. Dynamite aired against the Dallas Mavericks vs. Philadelphia 76ers with this week’s game down 20 percent from last week’s NBA opposition and a drop from 0.60 to 0.44 in the key demo.

Dynamite saw a loss of 16 percent among male viewers in the 18-49 demo and women dropped by 11 percent in the category.

Adults 18-34 experienced an 18 percent decrease and a two-week low.

Adults 35-49 fell by 14 percent and adults 50+ declined by 7.5 percent.

Dynamite was fourth behind two NBA games and Vanderpump Rules, averaging 1.17 million viewers and 0.46 in the demo during the second hour of Dynamite.

In Canada, Dynamite continues its hot streak with its third consecutive week of strong viewership going back to the show in Winnipeg, which set the company’s record for Canadian viewership at 197,200 viewers.

This week’s episode averaged 184,700 viewers and 110,900 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which was up 17 and 10 percent respectively from last week. Dynamite topped last Friday’s edition of SmackDown in the 25-54 demo, although SmackDown had a larger overall audience.

Dynamite ranked fourth among sports programming and second in the demo in Canada on Wednesday, which was led by the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Florida Panthers.

AEW was headlined by Adam Cole’s first match since June 2022 where he defeated Daniel Garcia and a Kenny Omega defense of the IWGP U.S. Championship against Jeff Cobb.

The premiere episode of AEW All Access averaged 328,000 viewers and 0.11 in the 18-49 demographic and ranked #30 among cable originals on Wednesday night as it aired immediately after Dynamite on TBS.

When assessing the demo ratings on Showbuzz Daily, All Access retained 39 percent of the 18-49 audience (33 percent of females, 41 percent of males), 33 percent of adults 18-34,  40.5 percent of adults 25-54, and 38 percent of adults 50+.
