AEW Dynamite notes: Casino Ladder match, Serena Deeb's return, Bobby Fish

AEW pushed out several of their headlining matches for the 10/6 Dynamite in Philadelphia. There is going to be a Casino Ladder match and the winner is getting a shot at Kenny Omega’s AEW World Championship. For the first time since July, Serena Deeb is returning to the ring after rehabbing her knee injury. She is attempting to stop Hikaru Shida from getting her 50th win in AEW. Also, Bryan Danielson is teaming with Christian Cage, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus to take on The Elite (Kenny Omega, Adam Cole & The Young Bucks).

In the main event of Dynamite, Sammy Guevara defeated Miro for the TNT Championship. In Guevara’s backstage promo, he revealed that first in line for a shot at the title is former NXT Tag Team Champion Bobby Fish.

MJF had a promo segment and threatened to depart AEW if he didn’t get what he wants which is the AEW World Title. MJF mentioned Major League Wrestling and having Bruce Prichard on speed dial. Darby Allin came out to confront MJF and MJF brought up the car accident that resulted in the passing of Darby’s uncle.

The AEW and AAA World Tag Team Champions Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix were approached by Andrade El Idolo. Andrade told the pair that he knows two luchadores who can take the AAA World Tag Titles from them.

Cody Rhodes and Lee Johnson defeated Dante Martin and Matt Sydal in tag action. Post-match, Cody did an interview with Tony Schiavone and called out Malakai Black. Arn Anderson stopped Cody from continuing to speak which led to Arn giving his take on the difference between he and Cody. Arn said if Cody was being robbed at gunpoint, he’d give up everything and would tell the individual to not hurt him. Arn said he’d shoot said individual for attempting to rob him.

Anthony Greene made his Dynamite debut. He took the pin fall in match that saw him and Bear Country (Bear Bronson & Bear Boulder) lose to Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston and Darby Allin. Greene also took the ‘Scorpion Death Drop’ from Sting.

To open Dynamite, Adam Cole defeated Jungle Boy with a low blow and his ‘The Last Shot’ finisher.
