CM Punk, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson were not mentioned on tonight’s Dynamite broadcast. The four were involved in an altercation at All Out that turned physical. Collectively, they were in possession of the AEW World Title and Trios Championships but those belts were vacated. New Trios Champions were crowned and a new World Champion will be crowned on September 21st. The four talents were removed from the show opener as well. There was a video package to hype MJF’s arrival to Dynamite and the footage of MJF at All Out did not include Punk.

In MJF’s return segment, he expressed that he’s not upset about not being in the ‘Grand Slam Tournament of Champions’ because Tony Khan paid him well and he has the Casino Ladder match chip that he ‘won’ at All Out. Jon Moxley made his way to the ring and during he and MJF’s exchange, MJF mentioned and referred to the likes of Cody Rhodes, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and going to work for a ‘real Khan’ in Nick Khan. Moxley then had a solo promo segment and stated that he was supposed to be on vacation until two days ago.

At AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on 9/21, Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee are going to be defending their World Tag Team Titles against The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster). Lee and Strickland bested the duo at All Out.

In the first round of the ‘Grand Slam Tournament of Champions’, Bryan Danielson defeated Hangman Adam Page. He’ll be taking on Chris Jericho next week to determine who moves on to the finals.

The following matches are being taped for the 9/9 episode of Rampage on TNT:

  • ROH World Championship: Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. Dax Harwood
  • Serena Deeb vs. Madison Rayne
  • Samoa Joe appearance

Action Bronson, who came to HOOK’s aid during the ‘Zero Hour’ pre-show at All Out, called out ‘Cool Hand’ Angelo Parker and ‘Daddy Magic’ Matt Menard for Grand Slam in two weeks. Bronson got physical with Menard and Parker at the pay-per-view.

After Daniel Garcia’s ROH Pure Championship win, Kevin Blackwood showed his support:

I hate to harp on this all the time but every time he does something like he just did all I can think is that this easily could’ve been the end for all of us. We all knew that kid was gonna be a star. @GarciaWrestling you inspire all of us. I’m lucky to know you. pic.twitter.com/nntpPBmx6g
