After Adam Cole revealed that he’ll be undergoing surgery for a broken ankle, he embraced his partner, AEW World and ROH Tag Team Champion MJF before he exited camera’s view. Coming out to the ring was Jay White, who stuck claim to MJF’s World Championship. To close out Dynamite, White was beaten down by a group of masked individuals. One of the individuals was sporting the devil mask that MJF wore when he returned to AEW at All Out 2022

At AEW WrestleDream, The Don Callis Family (Will Ospreay, Konosuke Takeshita & Sammy Guevara) are taking on Chris Jericho, Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega. A video was shown on tonight’s program of Takeshita and Callis in Japan and they went to Ibushi’s dojo. Takeshita went after Ibushi and Yumehito Imanari of Ganbare Pro Wrestling. Ibushi was left laying in the ring.

In the opening match, Rey Fénix retained his International Championship by defeating Jeff Jarrett. Later in the show, Nick Jackson emerged victorious from a three-way involving Brian Cage and Claudio Castagnoli. Jackson is challenging Fénix for the International Title on the 10/4 Dynamite, which is the four-year anniversary of the program.

A vignette aired on the show with MJF and Adam Cole. They were on a boat and discussing Cole’s friendship with Roderick Strong. While Cole was fishing, he caught something on the hook and it turned out to be Paul Wight, who was in his Captain Insano gear.

Scheduled for the 9/29 AEW Rampage are the following bouts:

  • AEW World Trios Championships: Billy Gunn and The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) (c) vs. Isiah Kassidy, Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy
  • Ruby Soho vs. Hikaru Shida (Winner gets AEW Women’s Title match on 10/10 Tuesday Night Dynamite)
  • NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship: Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Rocky Romero

Adding to the 9/30 Collision lineup is an eight-man tag that will see Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler take on Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis, Big Bill and Ricky Starks.
