AEW Dynamite saw an increase from last week’s figures as it aired against Game 5 of the World Series and the NBA.
The November 1 episode from Louisville averaged 832,000 viewers and 366,000 (0.28) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Sports TV Ratings.
Overall viewership was up by 7.5% and the 18-49 audience grew by 14% from last week and was a two-week high for the program.
The fifth and final game of the World Series between Texas and Arizona averaged 11,481,000 viewers and a 2.32 rating in the demo on Fox. The NBA game between New Orleans and Oklahoma City averaged 1,031,000 viewers and 0.37 in the demo on ESPN airing head-to-head with AEW.
Dynamite ranked fifth among sports programs on Wednesday for the night coverage of the World Series and the two NBA games on ESPN.
Adults 18-34 grew from 120,000 to 147,000 or 23% including a big increase among men in the demo to 104,000.
Adults 35-49 were up by 9% to 218,000 with the key growth being seen among females from 33,000 to 55,000 or 67%.
According to Wrestlenomics, the show started off strong with 985,000 viewers before dropping over the next two quarters. In the second hour, the average viewership topped out at 821,000.
In Canada, Dynamite averaged 100,700 viewers and 45,200 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2. The show ranked #9 among sports programs for the night and was led by the World Series, Toronto Raptors vs. Milwaukee Bucks, and an NHL game between Dallas and Calgary. It was Dynamite’s largest audience in the country since ‘Title Tuesday’ last month.
