The final episode of Dynamite prior to AEW’s All Out pay-per-view, saw the program remain #1 on cable while experiencing a drop from the week prior.

CM Punk’s follow-up appearance in Chicago (nearby Hoffman Estates) and the first bit of physicality in AEW was one of the key attractions on the show that averaged 1,047,000 viewers and 486,000 (0.37) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston at Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

Although Dynamite fell 10.6 percent in viewers and 23 percent in the 18-49 demo, the show still topped the cable charts on Wednesday above Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Tucker Carlson Tonight, and MTV’s The Challenge.

The drop was somewhat inevitable after last week’s number was the third-highest viewership in the history of Dynamite and the second-highest 18-49 rating ever behind the October 2019 premiere.

The largest decline was among females 18-49 that dropped by 34.5 percent from last week with 122,000 (0.19) this week.

Dynamite was the top cable program among males 18-49 with 363,000 and males 12-34 with 109,000 while they were second among adults 18-34 with 153,000 just behind The Challenge.

It was Dynamite’s eighth highest viewership average of 2021 going their pay-per-view weekend.

In Canada, the show had a big fall with 87,400 viewers and 51,900 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2. It was the first time since July 7th that the show had fallen beneath 100,000 viewers in Canada. Prior to this week, Dynamite had averaged 118,500 viewers over the previous four weeks, so this was a surprising drop.
