Sting’s final television appearance before his retirement match did not lead to any significant movement for AEW Dynamite’s figures.
The February 28 episode from Huntsville, Alabama, averaged 822,000 viewers and 381,000 (0.29) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Wrestlenomics.
The audience was down by 1% this week while the 18-49 number was identical with the previous week.
In the 18-49 demo, males grew by 4 percent this week to 271,000 and was the category’s highest number since January 17. Women in the demo dropped by 8 percent.
Adults 18-34 averaged 150,000, which was down 5 percent from last week.
Adults 35-49 saw a 4 percent increase to 231,000 with men up 9 percent and females down by 7 percent from last week.
Coming off its largest audience ever in Canada, Dynamite dropped down to 119,000 viewers and 47,300 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which represented a decrease of 42 percent and 51 percent respectively from last week. Dynamite ranked seventh for the night among sports programs.
Wrestlenomics reports that the peak quarter was the first fifteen minutes of the show for the Hangman Page, Swerve Strickland, and Samoa Joe segment with 943,000 viewers and 430,000 in the demo.
The final quarter with Chris Jericho vs. Atlantis Jr. and the segment with Sting, Darby Allin, and the Young Bucks averaged 810,000 viewers and 395,000 in the demo with the two-minute overrun leading to a 10 percent increase in both categories.
