Going against the NBA and NHL playoffs, Dynamite saw a one percent increase in overall viewership and a two percent gain among those in the 18-49 demo.

Dynamite finished fifth among cable originals behind the NBA coverage and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo.

It was still Dynamite’s second-lowest audience of 2022 and the third-lowest 18-49 number of the year.

In breaking down the 18-49 number, men increased six percent while females dropped by five percent compared to last week’s program.

The show was down 16 percent in the 18-34 demo but saw a 15 percent increase in 35-49.

The cable figures were led by the NBA with Golden State vs. Memphis topped the chart with 4,823,000 viewers and 1.57 in 18-49 airing against the final 19 minutes of Dynamite. The earlier game between Boston and Milwaukee averaged 4,788,000 and 1.51.

AEW beat the NHL playoffs on ESPN with Pittsburgh vs. New York averaging 1,047,000 viewers and 0.32 in 18-49 and Dallas vs. Calgary at 699,000 and 0.27.

In Canada, the show dropped 16 percent with approximately 78,000 viewers on TSN 2 where the NHL playoffs are a larger factor than the NBA in the country.

The show was highlighted by MJF’s homecoming at the UBS Arena and the three Owen Hart Cup matches with Adam Cole vs. Dax Harwood, Jeff Hardy vs. Darby Allin, and Toni Storm vs. Jamie Hayer.

Next week’s show takes place from Houston, Texas with two weeks remaining until the Double or Nothing pay-per-view on Sunday, May 29th.
