AEW Rampage hits its highest viewership since April as the program finished third among cable originals this past Friday.

The July 1st taped edition of the show from Detroit averaged 486,000 viewers and approximately 209,000 (0.16) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

It was the show’s highest viewership since April 22nd while the 18-49 demographic was its highest in three weeks equaling the audience in the demo on June 10th, which aired against the NBA Finals.

It was third among cable originals behind The Five on Fox News and Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives on Food Network.

The show was up 15 percent in viewers and 33 percent among the 18-49 demographic. The show doubled its audience among adults 18-34 growing from 28,000 to 56,000 this week and experiencing large increases among males and females 12-34.

The only demo that declined from last week was adults 50+ with a five percent decrease.

The show featured a 20-man Royal Rampage battle royal to determine the first contender for interim champion Jon Moxley followed by The Young Bucks against Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI, and the main event match between Toni Storm and Nyla Rose.

Rampage aired against the PFL card on ESPN, which averaged 291,000 viewers and 0.07 in 18-49, ranking #41 on cable. The card featured Kayla Harrison against Kaitlin Young in the main event and Rory MacDonald against Sadibou Sy in the top two fights.
