AEW Rampage posted its lowest 18-49 audience in the history of the show on Friday night.

The December 2nd edition of Rampage averaged 361,000 viewers and approximately 104,000 (0.08) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

It is Rampage’s lowest 18-49 audience since the show premiered in August 2021 including episodes that aired outside of the normal time slot. It was also the lowest overall viewership for the series in its regular slot on Friday at 10 p.m. ET.

Rampage fell outside of the top fifty original cable programs on Friday at #60 and therefore, we have limited demo information.

Compared with last week’s show that aired at 4 p.m. ET, viewership fell by 12% and the 18-49 dropped by 30%.

Rampage aired against the Pac-12 Championship on Fox, which averaged 6.3 million viewers and 1.57 in 18-49, and ESPN’s coverage of the Chicago Bulls vs. Golden State Warriors, which topped cable with 1.59 million viewers and 0.53 in the demo.

Rampage was headlined by a lumberjack match between Orange Cassidy and QT Marshall for the All-Atlantic Championship.

If this was normal competition that would be one thing. Football in the US is king so I wouldn’t look to much into this. If it happens again, different story.

I’m sure the shows are fine but at one point it was booked like Dynamite and those shows were can’t miss TV. This week I found myself actually home with nothing to do so I put it on hoping to see a good lineup. Once I saw who was on the card I turned it off and didn’t even look at cagematch after to see how it went. It was just an event I wasn’t interested in. AEW is really losing steam this year. They still have a great roster so here’s hoping they get things going.
