AEW Rampage was hit badly on Friday with the show falling to its lowest overall viewership since launching in August.
It would be the lowest overall audience in the history of Rampage going back to August and its second-lowest 18-49 figure. The audience number was down 22.5 percent from the prior week and the 18-49 figure dropped by 16.5 percent.
The main competition came from ESPN with the college football game between North Carolina and NC State that averaged 2,681,000 with 0.61 in 18-49, which finished second for the night on cable. There was another game on FS1 between Washington and Washington State that did 1,210,000 viewers and 0.26 in 18-49.
Rampage also went against the first twenty minutes of the college basketball game between Gonzaga and Duke that was #1 on cable with 2,793,000 viewers and 0.82 in the demo rating.
The taped episode from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago was promoted around Eddie Kingston vs. Daniel Garcia along with a ‘Black Friday Deal Match’ between Dr. Britt Baker and Riho, and Adam Cole & Bobby Fish teaming against Orange Cassidy & Wheeler Yuta.
In all the key demos, they dropped by double digits including a 27 percent decline among Adults 18-34, a 23 percent drop with Females 18-49 and Males 18-49 declining by 16 percent.
Over four episodes in the month of November, Rampage averaged 525,000 viewers and 270,000 in 18-49.
