On Friday, AEW Rampage finished sixth among cable originals that day with an increase for Jon Moxley’s first match back.
It was Rampage’s best 18-49 figure in its normal timeslot since October 29th (the Christmas night edition of the show did do a higher figure but that occurred on a Saturday night).
The show featured Jon Moxley’s first match since October where he defeated Ethan Page in the opening match. The show was headlined by Jade Cargill retaining the TBS championship against Anna Jay.
The Young Bucks had been advertised to wrestle Roppongi Vice but was changed to a singles match after Rocky Romero announced he had COVID-19 and was pulled from the show.
The show increased 13 percent in overall viewers and was up by 24 percent in the key demo from last week’s taped episode.
Males increased at a significant rate with 18-49s improving by 27 percent this week and men 18-34 growing from 42,000 to 88,000 this week, according to data from Brandon Thurston.
Overall, Rampage’s 18-34 audience grew by 60 percent from last week, and females 18-49 were up by 19 percent.
