AEW Rampage experienced an increase on Friday’s taped episode from Norfolk, Virginia following the Full Gear pay-per-view.

The show from the Chartway Arena on Friday night averaged 556,000 viewers and approximately 286,000 (0.22) in the 18-49 demographic and finishing 17th among cable originals, per Showbuzz Daily and Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

The show was up 8 percent in overall viewership and increased 9 percent in the key demo, although it was still the fourth-lowest viewership and third-lowest in 18-49 in Rampage’s history going back to August.

Males 18-49 increased by 15 percent this week and Adults 25-54 improved by 14 percent as the strongest gains from the week prior. Females 18-49 dropped by 7 percent and Adults 18-34 decreased by 6 percent.

This was a taped show, so it was notable they performed better than the live episode from the week prior on the eve of the pay-per-view.

Friday’s cable numbers were led by the L.A. Lakers vs. Boston Celtics game that averaged 1,735,000 viewers and 0.59 in 18-49 followed by Tucker Carlson as Fox News occupied seven of the top ten slots on cable for the evening.

AEW only went against the closing minutes of the Lakers vs. Celtics with the late game between Dallas and Phoenix starting at 10:11 p.m. ET against Rampage and finished #3 with 0.5 in 18-49 and 1,371,000 viewers on ESPN.

AEW Rampage’s four-week average is 573,000 viewers and 291,000 in 18-49.
