This rampage was excellent and was a return to the star studded early days of the show. The pace was frenetic but I enjoyed every segment.
The opener was great as expected. Swerve is smooth and a great technician. I like Tony Nese, he’s great in the ring but I think Mark Sterling will improve his presentation. I don’t think Sammy and Tai needed to bring their relationship to the screen. I like them both as babyfaces in their own programmes but if the crowd response so far is anything to go by, it’s going to result them being forced to turn heel.
The main event was absolutely fantastic! This story with Yuta trying to prove himself to the combat club has been fascinating and this was the perfect culmination of that. It really seemed that he might win this and I was rooting for him. Although Wheeler joining the club is great, by the end of the match he seemed so over I almost wanted him to do his own loan wolf thing.

Awesome episode of Rampage, completely blew Smackdown out of the water.

Compare how AEW has built a guy like Wheeler Yuta with the way WWE has somehow turned a ready made star like Ronda Rousey into something much lesser than.

Give me this weeks Rampage/Dynamite (other than the Hardy’s match) over both nights of Mania all day.

My call into this show was a lot more positive than I planned it to be, as I had Tammy Sytch’s crap on my mind originally, but then I watched Rampage culminate with Wheeler Yuta’s performance and was over the moon for it.

Anyway, I hope Wai and Pauline have and excellent vacation.
