American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes documentary - Thoughts?

Released on Monday and those who have watched it, how did you feel about it? Other than Paul Levesque’s little mention saying AEW was a “secondary company” which I thought was amusing, I thoroughly enjoyed the entire presentation portraying his time away fairly and objectively without burying anybody or anything. However, it has at times raised more questions than answers. The adversity Cody faced during his initial WWE stint — bad gimmicks (ala Stardust), bad ideas, writers and executives who refused to listen to him - is treated like some kind of natural phenomenon rather than the result of actual decisions made by people with names and roles. But that’s a typical WWE trope with documentaries anyway.

Amazing doc. Makes you teary eyed at times

Loved the HHH shots as well (secondary promotion). Well timed heading into Wembley to make them feel small

I’m about half-way through it. I forgot about Cody’s nose ring, and I had a feeling that Hall of Fame speech of his in 2007 turned a lot of heads.

To be honest, I think this one will be neck & neck with Dark Side of the Ring for best wrestling documentary this year. I kinda prefer this one cause it’s not all too negative for my taste.
