Anniversary Show Ideas

I for one am sick of WWE Anniversary shows! The same groups and legends get brought back, for the same gags and promos. Again with the DX reunion, again with the beating up of a current team (Revival). Ted Dibiase, APA etc. Even seeing the Dudleys, was a dud. They were only on the roster full time a year before!

I had an idea that I would like to see !
What if old and new were somehow integrated?? A backstage gag where Charlie Haas bumps into Benjamin & Gable, maybe he suggests their new tag team name? William Regal tags with Pete Dunne in a match. Gangrel comes up through the floor, but instead of Edge/Christian, The Ascension are with him, and he manages them for a night. A one night “Hart Foundation” with returns from DH Smith, The Anvil, Tyson Kidd, as they help Natalya win a #1 contenders match for Fast Lane. Former stars like Carlito answer a US Title open challenge. X-Factor answer a challenge from a trio, Miztourage maybe? The Hardcore Title is resurrected for one night only under 24/7 rules, with appearances from former champions.

I thought RAW 25 was a flop, a let down. I was hoping for something so memorable.

Has anyone given thought to what they could utilise to do something different?

While I agree that Raw 25 was a disappointment, to me it was because WWE actually normally does a good job with big anniversary shows and had hyped Raw 25 sky high only to over complicate it with the two locations.

Typically on their anniversary shows they don’t have as many legends as they did for Raw 25 and can use them a little more effectively with the current talent and story lines. One of my favorite promos ever came from the first “Old School Raw” where Rowdy Roddy Piper gave an amazing promo that seamlessly fit into the Barret/Cena/Orton storyline.

(Although now I feel old seeing that segment was from 2010)
