Anthony Bowens has revealed that he suffered a legitimate knee injury that required surgery.

The member of The Acclaimed issued a statement and photo during Friday’s episode of Rampage with an update on his situation:

Without getting into too much detail..bc of the attack after Elevation on Monday, I had to undergo a procedure this week to fix my knee. Story of my life..1 step forward, 2 steps back. #AEWRampage pic.twitter.com/QtSga0eFeC

During a backstage segment with The Gunn Club and Max Caster, they showed a brief clip from AEW Dark: Elevation with Bowens being attacked to explain his absence.

It is unknown what the specific injury is to his knee or a timetable for his return.

The match from Elevation was taped last week in Elmont, New York with Bowens teaming with Caster & The Gunn Club against Bryce Donovan, GKM, Lucas Chase & Zack Clayton.
