Any recommendations for efficient microphones for podcasting?

I’m considering starting a podcasting network for my university and I’m looking for a lot of different options for microphones and audio editing software for podcasting.

Any recommendations from everybody here would be greatly appreciated. HMU!

I’d recommend you listen to the Content Talks Toronto podcast that John posted. There is a lot of good info on there about getting into podcasting.

Yeah John mentions the Blue Yeti on that podcast and I’d definitely agree. It’s what I use also and has definitely been worth the £100 or so I spent on it. Not sure what it retails at in the US & Canada but if that’s too much, you can also try the Blue Snowball for about half the price.

If you look up both on YouTube you’ll see plenty of videos giving you examples of what you’re in for with both of those mics.
