NXT talent Arturo Ruas last wrestled on the November 18th episode of NXT against KUSHIDA. Today on his official Instagram page, Ruas noted that he has undergone successful surgery on his left arm/shoulder area. He wrote the following about the surgery:

“If starting was easy, it will be difficult to stop..” The surgery was a success, now it’s to recover to come back with everything!! For a warrior, there will only be victory with fight and glory with honor!! It’s forward what’s up! Giving up was never an option!.”

In November, Fightful first reported the news of Ruas dealing with an arm injury. The site noted that the injury occurred during the match with KUSHIDA. WWE putting the RAW Underground platform on the sidelines set up Arturo’s return to NXT.

Ruas, real name Adrian Jaoude signed with WWE five years ago. He debuted on Monday Night RAW on the RAW Underground show in August. He was drafted to RAW as a part of the 2020 WWE Draft and then moved back to NXT. Ruas also worked a number of EVOLVE shows prior the promotion being acquired by WWE.

That explains where he’s been. It’s been a tough break for the Raw Underground regulars since it closed up shop, outside of Omos and the ref Spider (back to regular reffing as Rod[?] Zapata).
