Thanks for answering my question about pets. Fish absolutely count. My dad has had fish for years. Agreed on there being a big difference between being in a mood for a pet and actually wanting to take care of one. I asked initially because I grew up with a dog (from the late 80s to end of 2001), and I’m coming up on a year of having my new dog, who I adopted through a shelter last April.
