Wai: Terrace House: Do you prefer the season to be in Japan or abroad? I definitely want to see more content in Tokyo. And maybe a NJPW “Young Lion” in the house. It would be cool to see an up-and-coming wrestler, trying to make it.
John: Aqua, Real McCoy, Technotronic, or Ace of Base?
For both; do you guys have any product that you like collecting or that you used to and fell off. For example I have a huge Blu-Ray/4K collection, as well as LEGO sets and Funko Pops.
Any property you wished could be turned into a movie or tv show, like from a video game, book or toy franchise?
Is there any heat between POST Wrestling and Sunday Night’s Main Event? Seems there have been subtle cheap shots since it’s launch, and I’m just curious if we can expect some exemptions from this year’s Christmas Rumble.
Long time listener, keep up the highest quality work.
Glad to see you have moved on to bigger and better things.
I wanted to ask you about Cellphones. What providers do you guys use? Are you satisfied with the service? What are your thoughts on the fact that Canadians pay some of the highest rates for cellphone packages around the world?
Hi guys… I wanted to ask if you have any plans for November 2019? I am best man for the wedding of James Rose (we both Patrons) and both have babies with John Pollock and Wai Ting guy prints (thanks Wai)… so I can get you into the wedding or stag doo if you fancy visiting Wales?
What was your favorite year in pro wrestling and why?
Mine’s always been 1998 because of the Austin mcmahon feud aND WCW was still watchable with the rise of goldberg aND nwo wolfpac. Your reviews in the past have made me really like wwe 2000 and I also love all things 1997.
What wrestler are you hoping doesn’t come to the WWE main roster for fear of what the writers and Vince McMahon will do to their careers? (Choose NXT, ROH, or NJPW wrestlers). For me, it’s Kenny Omega. I just don’t see how WWE would utilize Kenny to his best, whereas the loose constraints of NJPW have allowed Kenny to flourish both in and out of the ring. As is in New Japan, he’s always in the conversation for world titles and a center of attention. in WWE, I’m afraid we’ll be getting bad feuds with Bray Wyatt or “Kenny’s Brothers.”
Luke Gallows tells a story sometimes about how he is 100% sure that Vince doesn’t remember he played Festus. This led me to play a game in my mind of “Does Vince know who this person is” The rules are, you hand Vince a photo, can he say the person’s name without help
Here’s some examples of ones I debated:
Kenny Omega
Viktor from The Ascension
Lars Sullivan
Adam Pearce
Peyton Royce
Let me know what you guys think and if I’m just not giving the man enough credit.
How often do you guys watch shows together before you review them and when you do, do you try and avoid discussing it whilst you’re watching so as to not impact on your review?
So we know NJPW is starting to get really popular with western wrestling fans. Do you guys know if that’s reciprocated, ie what’s the Japanese interest in WWE like? Additionally, do they have a similar culture of wrestling media, do they know who Meltzer is?
We all know the WWE has done 60 minute iron man matches, but do you think they could pull off a legit 60 minute draw? Or do you think Triple H would try pulling one off in NXT?
I’ve always taken it for granted that Raw has a 5-15 minute overrun past 11pm, but I can’t recall when it became the norm, other than it being sometime after the show was extended to two hours in the mid-1990s.
Do you remember when the Raw overrun became a thing?
Connor from Dublin. _ As a longtime UFC/MMA fan since the late 90s my interest in the sport had grown year on year, but due to an over saturation of the market and increase in the amount of cards and fighters it has waned significantly in the last couple of years. I was wondering do you believe the Increase in the amount of fighters under contract has hurt the belief of the Ufc being the elite in MMA to the degree that fighters now are all paint by numbers or do you think it actually gives that mega star like a Conor or Ronda more of a platform to stand out? Do you think it would be worthwhile that limit Ppv cards to jusr the top 15 maybe increase ranking to top 20 fighters in each divisions and tryna to establish a divide between Ppv calibre fighters and the others to create more stars?
I’m wondering where you guys think Chris Jericho stands, among the greatest of all time? For me, he’s without a doubt #1. It helps that I’ve seen the majority of his career, but even if I havent, he stands out so much. He’s a great wrestler, he’s great on the mic and I think most importantly, he constantly reinvents himself. When people talk about the “mount rushmore of wrestling” they mention guys like Hogan, Flair, Austin, Rock and all were great in their own way, but I think the one thing that differentiates Jericho, is that he isnt afraid to freshen himself up. Those guys, I feel once they got to a certain level, they stayed consistent and didnt take any big risks.
I know this is kind of a morbid question to ponder but I believe it is worth discussing and thinking about. What do you guys think will happen once Vince McMahon is no longer with us? How do you think his absence from WWE will impact their product, their programming, their booking, their vision? I have to imagine the changes will be pretty significant. Do you think Raw & Smackdown will become more similar to NXT, or do you think they’ll try to keep things as they are?
