Asuka is on her second reign as RAW Women’s Champion after regaining the title at SummerSlam. She successfully defended the title against Mickie James on RAW last week and Asuka’s next title defense will take place on the Clash of Champions Kickoff show against Zelina Vega.
Zelina confronted Asuka last week after Asuka bested Mickie James. This led to Zelina Vega taking on Mickie James on the 9/21 RAW to determine Asuka’s challenger for Clash of Champions and it was Vega executing a “Backstabber” onto James to earn her title match.
