Aussie Open’s Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis have added the NJPW STRONG Tag Titles to their IWGP belts.

The main event of NJPW Capital Collision in Washington, D.C. saw Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin of the Motor City Machine Guns defend their NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Titles in a three-way match against Aussie Open, and the “Dream Team” of Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Tanahashi and Alex Shelley opened the match before Kyle Fletcher hit Tanahashi with a blind tag to enter the contest. Okada then entered the match to a big reaction from the crowd.

The rule-abiding tags soon gave way to several brawls and double-teaming spots.

The midpoint of the match was dominated by Aussie Open and the Motor City Machine Guns, with Tanahashi and Okada unable to tag in.

Once Okada and Tanahashi re-entered the action, they took over until a High Fly Flow was blocked.

There was a scary-looking spot when Kyle Fletcher performed a moonsault from the top turnbuckle, landing square across his hips on the guardrail. He was soon back in the action, however, to escape a huge near-fall.

In the final stretch, with Okada and Tanahashi out of the picture, Aussie Open were able to hit Coriolis on Chris Sabin to become double champs.
