RUSH’s reign as ROH World Champion came to an end at Best in the World.

It was in February of 2020 that RUSH captured the ROH World Championship. One year and several months after that win, his reign was ended by Bandido at the Best in the World pay-per-view.

The conclusion of the match saw RUSH attempt to loosen the mask of Bandido but referee Todd Sinclair caught him in the act. This led to RUSH turning his attention to Sinclair, but Bandido quickly capitalized on RUSH being distracted and rolled him up for the three count to capture his first world championship in Ring of Honor.

Bandido debuted for ROH in early 2019 and after two years with the company, he captured their world title. Post-match, the new champion was beat down by La Faccion Ingobernable (RUSH, Bestia del Ring, Kenny King & Dragon Lee).

Earlier in the night, Dragon Lee recaptured the ROH World Television Championship by defeating Tony Deppen. A rundown of that match can be read at this link.

They could set up a rematch by RUSH claiming that his right shoulder was up and Todd Sinclair missed that?
