I was listening to the latest Jim Cornette ‘Drive-Thru’ podcast and he was asked about his favorite wrestling related movies and independently produced documentaries. Two that he mentioned were ‘Heroes of World Class’ and ‘Memphis Heat,’ both of which I have on my list of things to watch now. Do any of you have any other recommendations for wrestling related documentaries not produced by the WWE?
They may seem obvious… but…
I did enjoy Heroes of World Class, as well as Forever Hardcore - which both came out during the DVD boom of the early 2000’s… but both also suffered from the lack of actual footage - and as a result, felt like cash-ins (regardless if they were or not) of the WWE released docs on each subject around the same time.

The ESPN Ric Flair and HBO Andre the Giant documentaries from last year deserve mentioning too.

The Brody one (high spots). Amazing and better than Viceland

It’s hard to argue against “Wrestling with Shadows” as the best really.
I also like Kenny Omega’s “Omegaman” on TSN a few weeks ago.
