On Saturday night, IMPACT Wrestling presented its annual Bound for Glory event from Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee with several news items following the event.

There were three title changes on the pay-per-view including the IMPACT Championship that Rich Swann won from Eric Young in the main event of the show. It is Swann’s first reign as IMPACT Champion ending Young’s run that began back in August.

The other title switches on the show featured The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander) regaining the IMPACT tag titles in a four-way match involving The Good Brothers, Ace Austin & Madman Fulton, and Chris Sabin. Sabin wrestled the match alone after Alex Shelley was attacked by The North before the bell rang and never wrestled.

The event was noted for the absence of Kylie Rae, who was advertised for the #2 match on the show challenging Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts Championship. Rae’s music played and she never came out leading to an open challenge where Su Yung defeated Purrazzo to win the championship.

There is no word on Rae’s status, although Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer website is reporting that she suffered an injury that is not considered serious. POST Wrestling has reached out to officials at IMPACT for an update.

: Later, the Observer site posted an update that the initial report was incorrect and that IMPACT didn’t make an announcement because they did not know the situation at the time. The same Observer update noted Rae was in Nashville on Friday ready to work but didn’t appear at the building on Saturday.

The biggest segment on the show was a taped video message sent in by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to congratulate Ken Shamrock on his induction into the IMPACT Hall of Fame. Johnson was joined by Mick Foley, Bas Rutten, Chael Sonnen, and Ariel Helwani among those sending video messages. IMPACT made a big deal of the video throughout the night from Johnson.

There were several surprises on the show with appearances by James Storm, Swoggle, and Shawn Daivari in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match, which was won by Rhino.

This was Storm’s first appearance for IMPACT Wrestling since January 2018 when he last departed the company.
