Brian Myers explains why he missed IMPACT Wrestling’s November shows.
At IMPACT Wrestling’s ‘Turning Point’ special in November 2021, Brian Myers was scheduled to go one-on-one with Rich Swann. IMPACT noted on social media that Myers had not been ‘medically cleared’ to compete so he was pulled from the show. Myers tweeted out that he was dealing with ‘elevated liver enzymes’.
Myers was present at WrestleCade in November and sat down with Vickie Guerrero for an interview. The interview was released on December 26th. He shared that he actually missed ‘Turning Point’ and the following TV tapings due to COVID-19. Myers added that he and his significant other are vaccinated.
I will not be participating in the match today folks . Hate to break it to you. I just got out of quarantine. I wanted to be here to meet everyone healthy. But I just didn’t think it would be the best thing to do nor did I think I would be giving my best possible performance so I thought everyone deserved better than that. It was just the right thing to do, plus I missed — like I said, I missed IMPACT last week, I missed the whole TVs and stuff so it’s unfortunate. I’m vaccinated and my wife’s vaccinated. We both got COVID and when we were sick, I was shocked at actually how sick we were so, I just wanted to be transparent with everybody about that so, be safe is all I’m trying to say.
He was a part of the IMPACT ‘Throwback Throwdown’ program and prior to that, his match with Sam Beale aired on ‘Before The Impact’ on 11/18.
