One of the shows I enjoyed at the LAW was British Audio Wrestling, and hopefully whether free or as part of the Patreon lineup, there’ll be a new British Wrestling show.
I hope you’re planning on listening to the Christmas Show.
Thanks for the support Martin, we’re all delighted to be joining POST to carry on something not unlike BAW. We just need to settle on a name
I’m really happy to hear this show is back. I listened to every show. As an Englishmen it helped me find out more about the wrestling around me.
I’m looking forward to this, for sure. I don’t watch as much UK wrestling as I’d like but I’m going to be over there in the spring and am trying to time some work around the Progress Ally Pally shows.
Are those the Super Strong Style 16 shows? Can’t recommend it enough. I went to SSS16 last year and it was amazing, that could also be the Electric Ballroom but Progress go the extra mile for those shows.
I think those are the shows, yeah. First weekend in May. I wanted to go to an Electric Ballroom show this year but the timing didn’t work out. Alexandra Palace is a great venue for concerts so I’m keen to see how they do a wrestling setup.
Alexandra Palace is flat flooring, so seats in the first six rows are highly recommended. It’s a very large room, and a ring as small as theirs kind of gets swallowed up in it, but there is a big screen if you can’t see much.
One trick I noticed people using at Ally Pally this year was to sit in the back row, cos then they could stand whenever they wanted. You either want to be in the first six rows or right at the back. Can’t wait for SSS16 this year!
The ballroom is something special. Having been there I can say that atmosphere is amazing. Thankfully I think it’s just the Progress atmosphere in general as I think that carries over to most venues.
Definitely! The shows this year in Sheffield, Manchester and even New York are testament to that. 2018 is going to be massive for PROGRESS.
