L.A. Knight falls in defeat before his main event match.

Kicking off the debut episode of NXT’s reboot was a singles match between L.A. Knight and Bronson Rechsteiner, now going by ‘Bron Breakker’. This was Breakker’s NXT TV debut and he scored a win over Knight by hitting a pop-up powerslam.

Knight is scheduled to be in the main event of NXT which is the four-way to determine the new NXT Champion. Joining Knight in the match will be Pete Dunne, Kyle O’Reilly and Tommaso Ciampa.

Bron Breakker is the son of former two-time IWGP Tag Team Champion Rick Steiner. It was announced this past February that Breakker signed with WWE.
