This Wednesday’s episode of NXT will feature Charlotte Flair’s first match with the brand since 2015 when she faces off with Bianca Belair.
The match teased last week after Bianca Belair interrupted the match between Chelsea Green and Kayden Carter to issue a challenge to Flair. This followed Flair’s attack on both Belair and Rhea Ripley last weekend at the NXT TakeOver: Portland card.
Flair last wrestled in NXT in August 2015 shortly after she made her main roster debut alongside Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. Her final match with the brand was a fatal four-way involving Emma, Becky Lynch, and Dana Brooke that was taped at the Barclays Center the night of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.
Flair is set to challenge Rhea Ripley for the NXT women’s title at WrestleMania 36 on Sunday, April 5th in Tampa at Raymond James Stadium.
NXT has also announced a match between Tommaso Ciampa and Austin Theory, as well as an appearance by Finn Balor for this Wednesday’s episode on the USA Network.
