Chris Dickinson off NJPW Strong taping due to injury

After sustaining an injury at Saturday’s ‘Battle in the Valley’ event, Chris Dickinson will be unable to compete at the NJPW Strong taping on Monday.

New Japan issued a statement confirming that Dickinson was injured during a tag match on Saturday where Dickinson was teaming with Brody King against Misterioso & BATEMAN.

Dickinson executed a frog splash from the top rope and was in tremendous pain after hitting the maneuver. They ended the match very quickly after the injury.

At this time, the exact injury has not been confirmed but New Japan issued the following statement regarding Dickinson’s status:

Chris Dickinson sustained an injury during his match at Battle in the Valley on November 13.

As he undergoes evaluation and treatment, he will be unable to compete on Monday November 15’s NJPW STRONG tapings in Riverside California.

We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Chris wrestle, and appreciate your understanding. The following card change has been made to Monday’s event.

Dickinson was scheduled to team with Alex Zayne against Jay White & Hikuleo at the NJPW Strong taping, instead, Dickinson will be replaced by Yuya Uemura in the match.

The NJPW Strong ‘Detonation’ taping is scheduled for Monday night in Riverside, California with the following matches scheduled:
