IMPACT Wrestling is advertising Christian Cage for this week’s television tapings in Nashville, which take place Monday and Tuesday.

The new IMPACT champion will be appearing at Skyway Studios on Monday & Tuesday for the tapings. Each day features taping sessions 3-6 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. in Nashville. This will include Cage’s advertised appearance on next Thursday’s episode.

IMPACT will hold an additional day of tapings on Wednesday, but Cage is only advertised for the first two dates with Dynamite taking place on Wednesday from Houston.

Cage defeated Kenny Omega on the inaugural edition of AEW Rampage on Friday night in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The win sets up a match between Cage and Brian Myers for next Friday’s ‘Resurgence’ event streaming on IMPACT Plus.

Cage previously wrestled for IMPACT/TNA for three years from November 2005 until 2008 in between his WWE runs.

Christian was a big reason I got into TNA in the mid 2000s. If anyone woulda told you in the last 10 years that the Instant Classic would capture TNA gold on TNT Live on 2021, you would have believed you’d encountered an alien.

Yes it was an AEW show and yes Kenny was their champion but something about Cage winning this title for this brand/promotion after the last 10 years Impact/TNA had is just wild beyond comprehension.

This makes him a lock for the Impact Hall of Fame right?!
