WWE and Blumhouse Television have secured its showrunners for the scripted series in development on Vince McMahon.

The Wrap reports that Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster have been assigned as the co-showrunners to write and serve as executive producers for “The United States of America vs. Vince McMahon”.

The development of the proposed series was announced last year that would be set in the early ‘90s and focus on the steroid distribution trial where Vince McMahon was acquitted in the summer of 1994.

Fitzerman and Blue have worked together in the past including writing the screenplay for “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” on Mr. Rogers which starred Tom Hanks in 2019. The two have also written the upcoming Netflix drama “Painkiller” which covers the opioid crisis.

The two issued a joint statement on the upcoming project:

Vince McMahon is a living legend. We are thrilled to tell his larger than life story with our partners at Blumhouse and WWE.

Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn, Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, and Jeremy Gold will hold executive producer credits on the series, which doesn’t have a distributor named yet.
