WWE Champion Cody Rhodes won’t be defending his title at Bad Blood this weekend, although he recently teased “big title implications” for the promotion’s November 2 Premium Live Event (PLE) from Saudi Arabia.
Rhodes told The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday that he is expecting a “video package” to air on Saturday that will unveil details regarding next month’s Crown Jewel card.
“There is something that happens at Bad Blood, I guess a video package or vignette that’s going to play in the show,” Rhodes told The Pat McAfee Show. “I’ve got to keep it vague, but there are big title implications for Crown Jewel … Sorry for being so vague, a little spoiler there.”
While Rhodes has defended his Undisputed WWE Championship at most PLEs since earning the title in April, his run of title wins will take a backseat for a grudge match this weekend in Georgia. “The American Nightmare” will work alongside rival Roman Reigns in hopes of taking out The Bloodline in a tag team match.
The match will be the latest chapter in a lengthy rivalry against The Bloodline, which has included numerous title and non-title matches with Rhodes.
