WWE Moment of the Year goes to Cody Rhodes.

At the 2022 ESPY Awards, WWE’s Moment of the Year went to Cody Rhodes for his return to the company at WrestleMania 38 where he defeated Seth Rollins. Rhodes finished up with All Elite Wrestling and came back to WWE for the first time since 2016.

Rhodes is currently sidelined after undergoing surgery for a torn pec. Before his surgery, he wrestled in one more match against Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell.

WWE on ESPN has never felt right, this included.

Not to me, I’ve always associated wrestling with sports channels. Growing up raw was on TSN (Canadian espn) which now airs AEW, and even now Raw and SD are on sportnet here in Canada. I’ve always liked it when sports networks embrace wrestling.

Don’t be surprised in the next round of TV negotiations, ESPN could make a bid.
