Conor McGregor's Dublin pub struck by petrol bombs, no injuries reported

Authorities in Ireland are investigating an attack on Conor McGregor’s pub after the establishment was struck by two petrol bombs.

The Sun reported that suspects threw two petrol bombs (also known as ‘Molotov cocktails’) at McGregor’s establishment, The Black Forge Inn in Dublin. There were also two additional petrol bombs found near the entrance.

A representative for McGregor spoke with TMZ Sports to confirm that the fighter was not inside the establishment at that time.

The following statement was issued by the establishment to MMA Fighting:

After hours last night it appears that criminals made an unprovoked effort to inflict damage to the Black Forge Inn.

There was no damage done to any patrons, employees, or the Forge, and Mr. McGregor was not on the premises at the time of the incident. The gardai have opened an investigation into the event. We are open and busy as always.

The Mirror received a statement from An Garda Síochána, the national police service:

Gardai are investigating an incident of attempted criminal damage at a licenced premises on the Drimnagh Road, Crumlin last night, Wednesday, January 12 2022.

No damage was done to the premises. Gardai are appealing for witnesses in relation to this incident is asked to contact Gardai.

McGregor bought the Black Forge Inn in 2019.

The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion is recovering from a leg break sustained in his UFC 264 fight against Dustin Poirier last July.

McGregor has not commented on Wednesday night’s incident.
