I believe so. I think the word oriental is supposed to refer to an Inadamant object like a rug. Not as to be referred to as a person. I wasn’t trying to make a big deal about it in my feedback, but I was very surprised when I heard Ross say it. Do I think he hates Asian people, heavens no! Somebody might just want to let him know.

Totally understand why “orientals” could be offensive but they have a partnership with OWE (Oriental Wrestling Entertainment). It makes sense why JR could be confused by it.

The argument against oriental is that it’s archaic, perpetuates Asians as exotic and is connected to how Asians were mostly portrayed in the media, in particular Hollywood.
