Castle has held the ROH World TV Title on one occasion. Joe is in the midst of his first reign as ROH TV Champion and he’s been in possession of the title since April 2022

Here’s the updated Death Before Dishonor lineup:

  • ROH World Championship: Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. PAC
  • ROH World Television Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Dalton Castle
  • ROH Pure Championship — Pure Rules Match: Katsuyori Shibata (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
  • ROH Women’s World Championship: Athena (c) vs. Willow Nightingale
  • ROH World Tag Team Championships — Four Way Match: Lucha Bros (Rey Fénix & Penta El Zero Miedo) (c) vs. The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) vs. Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) vs. Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher)

No lie I was hoping Shane Taylor would get the win only because the last time I saw Dalton Castle, it was on AEW TV and he was jobbed out like he was nothing. Shane Taylor at least (Last time I saw him) had a competitive match against Keith Lee (Not the MMA fighter) so at least I could see a somewhat believable fight against Joe.

Don’t get me wrong, Castle is a great wrestler and is deceptively strong, I am only looking at it in a “who do I see giving Joe a tough fight because I know Joe ain’t losing here” type of showing.

RIP Dalton, survived by his boys.
