A new contract, title win and theme song for Priest.

Kicking off WrestleMania XL night one was the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins. After McIntyre won the belt, he began taunting CM Punk who was on commentary.

This led to Punk taking out McIntyre and capitalizing on that was Mr. Money in the Bank Damian Priest. Priest made his way to the ring and cashed in to become champion

Following the 4/8 Monday Night Raw, Priest did a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley and revealed that he signed a new contract with WWE.

Yeah, that’s another first for me (being the vocalist for my new theme song). This has been already a great year for me. New contract. New title. New theme song, voiced by yours truly. Judgment Day’s on fire.

The first challenger to Priest’s title is going to be Jey Uso. He emerged victorious from a Fatal 4-Way involving Bronson Reed, Ricochet and Drew McIntyre.

Uso received an assist from CM Punk, who prevented McIntyre from hitting the Claymore on him.

Good for him. He signed with WWE later than most (joining NXT at 36), and I’m happy that he finally got to a bigger platform.

Being the secondary world champion in the most popular faction during a period of heightened interest in WWE was not on my Truth Martinez Bingo card.

Good for him!
