CM Punk will be on hand at GCW’s Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame ceremony to induct Dave Prazak.

The news was shared by Punk on Monday afternoon ahead of the ceremony on Saturday, January 22nd at The Cutting Room and streaming live and free on the GCW YouTube channel.

The following names will be honored at the ceremony:

Dave Prazak (inducted by CM Punk)

Homicide (inducted by Chris Dickinson)

Ruckus (inducted by Sonjay Dutt)

Jerry Lynn (inducted by Sean Waltman)

Tracy Smothers (inducted by TBA)

LuFisto (inducted by TBA)

The Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame takes place the night before GCW’s card at the Hammerstein Ballroom, which is sold out.

I loved hearing this, not just because it’s Punk continually sliding right back into wrestling, but because he has so much history with Prazak, going back to before IWA Mid-South.

The best ROH commentary team was Dave Prazak and Lenny Leonard. ROH was at its peak at that time.

I really liked those two together, even if it was essentially two play-by-play guys together,as opposed to play-by-play and color. Glad they’ve reunited for some GCW dates.
