During Friday’s episode of SmackDown, a promo ran for RAW announcing that Drew McIntyre will take on Randy Orton this Monday.
The match will revisit their feud that lasted several months throughout 2020 including Orton winning the WWE Champion from McIntyre at Hell in a Cell in October. Their last match occurred on the November 16th edition of RAW where McIntyre regained the championship.
It was also suggested during the promo that McIntyre will answer Bill Goldberg’s challenge for a championship match at the Royal Rumble on Sunday, January 31st.
Last week’s episode concluded with Goldberg’s appearance to end Legends Night by issuing a challenge to McIntyre following his title defense against Keith Lee.
