The EGGSHELLS Podcast Companion is a series of shows exploring a different year in the wrestling history of the Tokyo Dome with a different guest each episode.

Episode one sees Chris Charlton and JoJo Remy look at 1989, which saw NJPW host the first pro wrestling show in the building, as well as the revolutionary shoot style promotion UWF stage their biggest card.

I love the concept behind this show. I only really know the Tokyo Dome for Wrestle Kingdom so this is educating me.

Sorry if I’m missing something obvious - but why is the book and podcast titled ‘Eggshells’?

Really good show. I’ve gotten into New Japan heavily in the last year. So, I really enjoyed the content of this podcast, especially learning about the culture, Liger’s origins, and the first years of Suzuki. Will be definitely listening every week going forward.
