A women’s Elimination Chamber has been announced for next month’s event to determine the Raw women’s title challenger at WrestleMania.
It was announced on Monday that the Chamber match will consist of Asuka, Shayna Baszler, Natalya, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, and Liv Morgan with the winner to challenge Becky Lynch for the Raw championship at WrestleMania 36.
The Elimination Chamber takes place Sunday, March 8th from the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and comes ten days after the Super ShowDown event on February 27th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WWE will only have one episode of Raw between the two events.
Speaks to how weak the division is right now when Liv and Sarah Logan are in the Elimination chamber, I mean if Shayna wasn’t in there who would be in there? Makes me wish/hope Bianca gets moves up to attack Sarah Logan to get in the Cage. I mean it seems obvious Shayna is winning this but that line up makes it seem way more obvious.
Because they feel the need to have a men’s and women’s chamber every year. Smackdown would probably be better…I mean that would be what Alexa, Nikki, Naomi, Carmella, Sasha if she is healthy, Mandy, Sonia. With Raw they would be better making if for the actual title maybe even have Becky drop the belt before Mania. They could do Becky, Charlotte, Shayna, Natalya, Ruby, Asuka.
Thinking about it why is Logan in the chamber and not Kairi?
Thinking about it why is Logan in the chamber and not Kairi?
This.
Kairi is so under-used on Raw. Maybe they think that having Asuka in there means they can’t have Kairi. But that is the problem with putting two of your best workers on a heel team.
For the Smackdown women you literally have no number 1 option to face Bayley. Yet you do a one on one match with a Naomi and Carmella for a match at a Saudi show.
For RAW you have one contender and you book an EC match with literally no one who can win.
Instead they could do
Becky vs Asuka at super showdown with winner to face Shayna
Smackdown Women’s EC for title shot with multiple possible winners (mela, Naomi, banks, Alexa, Lacey, Rose).
I think RAW would have been ok if they hadn’t done the vampire angle. Then put Asuka, Shayna, Natalya, Ruby, Bianca, and Kairi in the Chamber. At least then the match isn’t super clear. Or have it be for the title and have Becky drop the title to Shayna before Mania and do the singles rematch at Mania.
They basically picked the worst option from a bunch of viable options.
Shayna to the casual audience is unknown to have her beat and eliminate 5 women and go wire to wire well get people to perk up and be who is this and becky is in trouble at mania!
They probably don’t want Kari to take another pin by Shayna she has had some success against her in the past can be a big program on the main roster later on no need for kari to take a pin or sub in the EC and kill that potential.
Maybe not the greatest match or idea but I do see the logic.
To me that logic only makes sense in absence of the biting angle. If they didn’t do that then this match establishes Shayna as a big threat. With the biting that has already been established.
Then why have her bite her already? It’s telegraphed that Shayna will win. If you wanted to do it your way and build her up then have her attack Becky after she wins the Chamber. Not before it.
They probably aren’t saving Kairi for SHayna realstically. Just bc they had a feud on NXT doesn’t mean it’s a money program here.
It’s likely another oversight where some dumbass in WWE didn’t want both her and Asuka in the same match
I mean after Raw my assumption for how the match probably goes is something like Liv and Ruby start off in the chamber just to get that moment, one eliminates the other, then Shayna comes in Eliminates that person, Eliminates Sarah Logan, Natalya and Asuka. Basically they just have Shayna run through all the competitors I would probably have her run through Liv and Ruby too but I assume they will want that confrontation. I hope she is dominating and brutal making her into this huge threat. At least then with an obvious outcome it will serve some purpose.
