Enzo suspended by the WWE following sexual assault allegations

WWE performer Enzo Amore (Eric Arndt) has been suspended indefinitely following allegations of a sexual assault being committed by the performer last fall.

An unidentified woman posted her account of what occurred with Arndt last October. She stated that she was with Arndt and two other people, who she referred to as accomplices. She stated that she was drugged and went into a state of psychosis with the other two individuals leaving the woman alone with Arndt and that is when she stated the rape occurred.

She also added that she was in a mental hospital for 45 days after the incident, which she reported before going to the emergency room two-days after it took place.

Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet confirmed with the Phoenix Police Department that a report was filed and the incident is under investigation. The police are awaiting lab results.

The following statement was issued by the WWE regarding the allegations and the status of Arndt:

WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended.

So right now, it pretty much means that the cruiserweight title is suspended as well unless they have some creative way of taking the title off Enzo without having him lose it on tv.

Having said that, i applaud WWE for doing this, even if this turns out to be false accusations or that it wasn’t really him but somebody else that look like him, at less they didn’t turn a blind eye on this and suspended him like they did rich swann until the whole mess is resolve. This wasn’t a huge story because until WWE suspended him, nobody really pick up the story but if they would have done nothing about this and the mainstream media would have got word of this, it would have been a lot worst for them, so i’m glad they took the initiative of suspending him before this story gets out instead of hoping for the best and just trying to hide it as long as possible.

The PWS report also claims that “most of the investigation is done”, and others claim that the date of the incident—October 18th/19th—coincides with where Enzo was located based off of his Instagram.
