UFC consumers on ESPN+ in the U.S. are going to experience yet another price increase for the promotion’s monthly pay-per-views.
An announcement was made on Thursday that ESPN+, the UFC’s domestic distributor of its pay-per-view content, will be adding a $5 increase to the monthly cards that will now be available for $74.99 per event beginning with the UFC 270 card this month.
This is the third increase since ESPN+ took over the domestic rights for the events in 2018 that began at $59.99 per show.
There is also an increase to the annual ESPN+ package that comes with one UFC pay-per-view event and a year-long subscription to the streaming platform that will now be priced at $99.98 per year, up from $89.98.
It was a gigantic year for the UFC, which saw major success with its pay-per-view content including two fights involving Conor McGregor.
ESPN+ grew 66 percent over the past year with approximately 17.1 million subscribers, while the ESPN cable network declined in distribution by 10 percent and is in approximately 76 million homes.
UFC 270 takes place on Saturday, January 22nd featuring Francis Ngannou fighting Ciryl Gane to determine the undisputed heavyweight champion, and UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno fighting Deiveson Figueiredo.
