Husney feels it would take a few years to fully understand every aspect of the story.

Season four of Dark Side of the Ring on VICE kicked off on May 30th. The first episode was centered around Tammy ‘Sunny’ Sytch and the late Chris Candido.

As Dark Side of the Ring co-creator Evan Husney was making the media rounds to promote the new season, one of the outlets he was interviewed by was Comicbook.com.

Husney was asked about the possibility of covering Vince McMahon’s misconduct allegations that led to him resigning from his role as Chairman and CEO of WWE in the summer of 2022 before returning to the company the following year. When it comes to modern stories, Husney is of the mindset that it’ll take some time for the stories to fully unravel and with McMahon’s past year, he thinks the same.

The way that I look at these modern stories is at least with most of the stories we’ve covered on the show, there’s the benefit of hindsight or so much time has gone by. The story’s done, the story’s ‘finished’. So we can really get into it and try to unpack it. These stories that pop up, just in the last year or two, those are stories that are not really done being told, I feel like. And so I think that, who knows? I think we might have to wait a few years, maybe even more, before we can really dive in and unpack and truly begin to understand every aspect of that story.

Throughout season four of D.S.O.T.R., POST Wrestling’s John Pollock and Wai Ting are going to be releasing their review of the newest episode after Rewind-A-Dynamite.
