House of Torture helps EVIL become champion.
Tomohiro Ishii put the NEVER Openweight Championship on the line against EVIL at Wrestle Kingdom 16. A new champion was crowned after House of Torture got involved in the match.
Dick Togo, SHO and Yujiro Takahashi made run-ins to assist EVIL to victory. YOH, who defeated SHO in the opener of Wrestle Kingdom 16’s main card, rushed to the ring to fend off House of Torture but EVIL was able to capitalize and capture the NEVER Title.
This is EVIL’s first time being NEVER Openweight Champion. He is currently one-third of the NEVER 6-Man Tag Team Champions along with SHO and Yujiro Takahashi.
The NEVER 6-Man Titles will be on the line on night two of Wrestle Kingdom 16 when House of Torture defends against Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI and YOH.
